Uganda has a tradition of patrons standing alongside needy people so as to provide help with housing, food, education and healthcare. Similarly, many western NGOs (Non Governmental Organizations) and charities offer educational sponsorship programmes.

KCCC guarantees Primary Education to all its registered pupils irrespective of their means andalthough individual sponsorship of children was originally how support was raised, we are now moving away from this as a primary method of fundraising.
Bob has received sponsorship
to help with University fees
However, with education comes raised aspirations and some pupils continue to need help with their secondary and even, university education. As such, at present, a small number of scholarships are made available, with the hope that this investment will help them develop personally, fulfil their academic potential and in time, shape a more prosperous future for their nation.
