Welcome

Welcome to the Kiswa Community Children’s Centre (KCCC) website. Thank you for taking time to visit.

KCCC serves several urban villages or ‘slummy places’ in Kampala, which is the capital of Uganda and comprises various departments, each of them addressing some of the real and urgent needs of the local population.

The vision of KCCC is to provide holistic relief and development through an Orphans Project, Pre-School Nursery, Primary School and Widows Cooperative.

Challenges for the population are many: corruption is commonplace, sanitation and sewerage are largely non-existent, domestic violence and paternal desertion are every day realities, whilst HIV/Aids, malaria and insurgencies in the north of Uganda have caused many women to be widowed and children to be orphaned.

Into this environment KCCC was established by Pastor Tamale Wilson in 2004 as an outreach of Kiswa Baptist Church. In 2008, KCCC established a link with Canterbury Baptist Church in the UK and since then the two churches have shared a commitment to develop strategic community partnerships.

In addition to financial support from Canterbury Baptist Church and the South Eastern Baptist Association, KCCC has received UK teams from a variety of charities, schools and businesses.
